After reading Helen Keller's narrative, my view of her has changed a lot. I never took the time to learn much about her. I know a few people that are deaf and blind also and they have trouble communicating with people so I couldn't imagine them attempting to write a personal narrative. I understand how challenging it must have been for her, learning language at such a late stage in her life, with the limitations that she had. The challenges she overcame make me respect her more and have a new understanding for her life.
